Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

This role encompasses the supervision of theatrical productions, focusing on the setup, rehearsal, and execution of entertainment events. The supervisor will be responsible for the daily management and growth of the cast and crew, ensuring the safety and quality of performances. Key duties include:
  • Overseeing the installation, testing, and approval of all rigging equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Evaluating and adapting departmental processes in response to evolving business needs.
  • Creating and managing labor and expense budgets, ensuring accountability for financial resources.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and maintaining accurate documentation for team members.
  • Managing the recruitment and hiring processes for designated teams.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and addressing leadership matters with discretion.
  • Guiding staff to focus on departmental objectives and goals.
  • Supervising staff scheduling and training initiatives to support daily operations.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and installation of show-related elements and attractions.
  • Managing equipment inventory and procurement of necessary spare parts.
  • Implementing maintenance schedules for equipment.
  • Coordinating with vendors on-site as needed.
  • Assessing the quality of performances to meet guest expectations.
  • Troubleshooting issues effectively and responding to operational challenges.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety training requirements.
  • Delegating tasks appropriately and serving as the department's point of contact when required.
  • Assisting in the administration of safety programs for the entertainment division.
  • Conducting safety training for staff in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Maintaining logs and reports related to safety equipment and inspections.
  • Handling hazardous waste disposal as necessary.
  • Managing chemical inventories and ensuring safe practices.
  • Reading and interpreting theatrical lighting plans and related documentation.
  • Communicating effectively with team members, vendors, and guests.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree or higher in Theatrical Arts or a related field is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a theme park setting is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of production experience in media, including theater, television, or similar fields.
  • Two or more years in a leadership role within a theatrical context, particularly in lighting or rigging.
  • Experience in project management or special events is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of aerial rigging and safety inspections is preferred.
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction through effective communication and quality service.
  • Proficiency in soldering and a solid understanding of electrical theory.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues at the component level.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment such as Digital Multi-Meters and clamp meters.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Capability to multitask while ensuring high-quality guest service.
  • Comfortable with physical tasks, including climbing for inspections.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external partners.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with company standards.
  • Strong leadership abilities are highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly wage of $23.00
