Position Overview:

We are looking for a committed and passionate individual to take on the role of Supervisor for Theatrical Services. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing the installation, rehearsal, and operation of assigned entertainment venues, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the installation, testing, and approval of all rigging equipment used in various park shows, adhering to SEA rigging guidelines.
  • Evaluate and adjust departmental processes in response to evolving business needs.
  • Develop and manage labor and expense budgets, ensuring accountability for financial resources.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and maintain comprehensive documentation for team members.
  • Oversee the hiring process and requisition of team members within designated work groups.
  • Ensure confidentiality and address leadership issues with respect.
  • Guide staff to maintain focus on departmental objectives.
  • Supervise staff scheduling and oversee training and development initiatives for both new and existing team members.
  • Oversee the maintenance and installation of show-related elements and park attractions.
  • Manage equipment inventory and coordinate the purchase of spare parts as needed.
  • Create and implement maintenance schedules for equipment.
  • Assist with vendor coordination on-site.
  • Assess the quality of productions to uphold the high standards expected by our guests.
  • Effectively troubleshoot issues to achieve positive outcomes and respond to operational calls as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring all employees receive required safety training.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and serve as the department duty person as required.
  • Assist in administering safety programs for the entertainment department.
  • Conduct safety training for staff in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Maintain safety-related reports and logs for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Inspect work areas for safety compliance and manage hazardous waste disposal.
  • Maintain chemical inventory and ensure proper handling.
  • Read and interpret theatrical lighting plots and related documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and guests.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree or higher in Theatrical Arts or related vocational training is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a theme park setting is preferred.
  • Minimum one year of production experience in media, including theater, television, or related fields.
  • Two or more years of leadership experience in a theatrical environment, including lighting or rigging.
  • Experience in special event management or project oversight is preferred.
  • Knowledge of aerial rigging and inspection is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
  • Proficient in soldering and electrical theory with hands-on troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot at the component level for various equipment.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment such as Digital Multi-Meters and clamp-on meters.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Strong multitasking abilities while ensuring excellent guest service.
  • Comfortable with physical inspections and maintenance checks.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with company standards.
  • Ability to complete all required training and certifications in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills are highly valued.
Compensation: $23.00 USD Hourly
