Position Title: Mail Clerk
Compensation: $16/hr
Location: On-site
Employment Type: Temporary with potential for permanent placement
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Role Summary: The Mail Clerk will play a vital role in managing the flow of incoming and outgoing correspondence within the Mortgage Servicing department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming mail from various carriers including USPS, FedEx, and UPS.
- Sort and categorize mail efficiently.
- Link mail to corresponding loan numbers in the servicing database.
- Scan, upload, and distribute mail to designated individuals or departments using internal systems.
- Identify and route documents to the appropriate departments.
- Deliver sorted mail to relevant staff members within the Mortgage Servicing team.
- Uphold exceptional customer service standards while maintaining a positive and collaborative demeanor.
- Assist with special projects as directed by the Mortgage Services Supervisor.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management, including clerical tasks related to mail services.
- Report any mail or scanning issues to the Mortgage Services Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Basic proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Prior experience in a mailroom or data entry role is preferred.
- Familiarity with mortgage-related documents is advantageous.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in filing and research tasks, both physical and digital.
- Strong data entry skills, including 10-key proficiency.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
