Process Improvement Specialist

Job Summary:
Cook Children's Health Care System seeks a skilled Process Improvement Specialist to join our team. As an organizational process improvement champion, you will lead departmental and cross-functional teams through all aspects of the continuous improvement effort using Lean, Six Sigma, and other effective strategies and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the identification, understanding, and improvement of process issues using appropriate quantitative and qualitative tools.
- Develop and deliver process improvement training and education to the organization.
- Act as an agent of change, creating a culture that continuously strives for operational excellence and embraces the principles of process improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Nursing, or other clinical discipline; Master's degree a plus.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in Process Improvement using Lean and Six Sigma; Healthcare experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary groups.
- Trusted professional credibility and proven record of performance with basic analytical and statistical methods.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of basic software: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Minitab.
Certification/Licensure:
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is required.
- ASQ or IIE Certification is strongly preferred.
- Certifications from other entities will be evaluated.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) are preferred complements.
