Position:
Quality Assurance EngineerKBR, a leader in technology solutions, is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to conduct thorough testing and documentation for advanced military systems.
This role involves executing Software Engineering evaluations and assessments on a Mobile Ground Weapons Platform that integrates various Electro-Mechanical components, including but not limited to, High Energy Laser Weapons Systems, Thermal Management Systems, Electrical Power Distribution Systems, Inertial Navigation, Global Positioning Systems, threat detection and targeting systems, as well as onboard communication networks.
The selected candidate will be responsible for performing manual testing to validate that the software developed meets all operational requirements. Key responsibilities include software analysis, system evaluations, risk mitigation, and issue prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing user stories and requirements for accuracy and feasibility.
- Independently configuring test environments and network setups.
- Creating and executing manual test scripts.
- Linking test cases to requirements for comprehensive traceability.
- Conducting various testing levels (System, Integration, and Regression).
- Providing thorough documentation and evidence of testing outcomes.
- Implementing programs and assessing user feedback.
- Identifying and monitoring software defects and discrepancies.
- Applying quality engineering principles throughout the Agile development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Software Testing.
- Experience in documenting requirements and specifications.
- Proficiency in engineering tools, particularly Azure DevOps.
- Expertise in network packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with minimal oversight.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
