Position: Service Desk Analyst

Compensation: $18 / hr.

Work Schedule: 1st shift with start times ranging from 6am - 9am

Location: Onsite in Norwood, OH

Overview:

The Service Desk Analyst is responsible for delivering exceptional front-line support to clients by adhering to established protocols for documenting and resolving technical challenges related to hardware, software, network access, and general computing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a premier customer experience.
  • Record all client interactions in various IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve application and general computing issues utilizing available knowledge bases and support tools.
  • Provide a structured support framework including incident management, request fulfillment, access management, problem management, and knowledge management.
  • Route unresolved tickets to the appropriate resolver groups as per technical triage guidelines.
  • Engage collaboratively with service desk colleagues.
  • Participate actively in ongoing training sessions for service operations.
  • Contribute to projects and tasks as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology or two years of equivalent experience in a technology-related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a customer service capacity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional telephone etiquette.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Adaptable to changing processes and procedures.
  • Capable of managing up to 45 customer calls daily across various configurations and complexities.
  • Familiarity with all currently supported Microsoft operating systems.
  • Proficient in messaging systems, including Microsoft Outlook and Gmail.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this role, employees are regularly required to sit, communicate in person and through multimedia, operate standard office equipment, and reach with hands and arms. Employees may frequently need to walk and stand to complete tasks, including moving between work sites. The ability to ascend and descend stairs is necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Mental Requirements:

Employees must effectively utilize written and oral communication skills, interpret data and documents, analyze and resolve issues, apply mathematical reasoning, and learn new skills and information. The role involves performing detailed work on multiple concurrent tasks and interacting with colleagues, clients, and vendors. Maintaining composure in a dynamic, high-quality environment is essential.

Work Environment:

The work is primarily sedentary but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. It is generally performed in an office setting with standard office equipment available.
