We are seeking an Apple Technical Support Specialist to enhance our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are proactive problem solvers with outstanding customer service abilities. You will leverage your technical skills to assist over 900 home office employees, ensuring they have the necessary technology support to perform their roles effectively. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and assistance to more than 2,000 advisors and their teams regarding the technology they utilize. This position thrives in a fast-paced environment, where a positive and adaptable attitude is essential.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position, operating from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST, including a 60-minute lunch break.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering first-level support for Apple devices and software to home office personnel and Commonwealth advisors, addressing a variety of technical issues.
- Assisting Mac users in a corporate setting, facilitating their adaptation to Apple products for professional use, and providing advanced technical support.
- Managing and prioritizing help requests to identify and resolve technical problems efficiently.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service capabilities.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette, active listening, and follow-up.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with macOS and its latest versions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office for Mac 2016/2019/Office 365, including troubleshooting basic connectivity issues and advanced Outlook functionalities.
- Experience in mobile device support, including iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and tvOS.
- Understanding of Active Directory and domain environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot TCP/IP networking issues, including devices such as printers and scanners.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in supporting macOS and iOS.
- Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) certification is preferred.
- Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT) certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of networking hardware and software, including firewalls, routers, switches, VoIP, and VPN, is a plus.
- Experience in a technical services or helpdesk role is advantageous.
