About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Recovery Solutions. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in a correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, collecting data on their physical, psychological, and social dimensions.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, working closely with RNs and other staff as needed.
  • Facilitate Tele-Psychiatry Appointments: Facilitate tele-psychiatry appointments and work closely with psychiatric prescribers to provide medication, gather patient vitals, and conduct chart reviews.
  • Administer Medications and Implement Medical Plans: Administer medications and implement medical plans within the scope of practice, responding to emergencies and following established policies and protocols.
  • Ensure Competencies and Document Encounters: Ensure competencies are demonstrated in the correctional setting with appropriate supervision, documenting nursing encounters and communicating information to healthcare personnel.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Experience: One (1) or more years of clinic experience preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current licensure as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (PT) in the state of employment, current CPR certification required, and phlebotomy certification strongly preferred.
