Job Summary

The Territory Manager plays a pivotal role in driving C3 Industries' wholesale business forward, focusing on selling products and brands to retailers in the state. This position requires strong sales abilities, data proficiency, and grit to navigate shifting priorities and headwinds. Key responsibilities include managing and growing existing customer relationships, identifying new customers, and understanding customer needs to effectively drive sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of C3 Industries' portfolio of products and brands to drive sales with new and existing customers.
  • Understand each customer's needs, including product sales and brand performance, to inform sales strategies.
  • Stay informed of the competitive landscape and market trends to proactively work with customers and grow market share.
  • Implement sales strategies created by leadership and provide feedback to inform future strategies.
  • Deliver results that meet or exceed established sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Research and engage with prospective dispensary groups through referrals, networking, and cold calling.
  • Maintain and expand current accounts through frequent contact with decision makers and align with customer objectives.
  • Participate in market events to promote C3 brands and stay connected to the market.
  • Manage expectations throughout the sales process and provide ongoing communication to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Build relationships with industry associations, vendors, and other industry contacts to maintain a collaborative reputation.
  • Submit sales orders to ensure accurate accounting and delivery.
  • Communicate with facility teams to ensure knowledge of product demand, customer needs, and product delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand materials are updated and distributed.
  • Drive relevant sales KPIs to achieve volume and unit growth, account and door growth, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or 3+ years of related experience or equivalent in sales/account management; cannabis experience a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of progressive trends and best practices in sales.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and CRM software.
  • Knowledge of KPIs and metrics, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations, work from alternate locations, and work outside normal business hours as needed.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to correspond in a professional manner.
  • Proven ability to establish credibility, build relationships, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong results-orientation and commitment to quality, performance, and deliverables.
  • Effective multi-tasker with demonstrated ability to prioritize.
  • Must be 21 years of age and pass a background check.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required state licenses based on work location.
