Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at Flagship Facility Services. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Empty waste baskets and replace liners as needed
  • Dust and clean tops of office furniture, cleared desks, and surfaces of tables
  • Vacuum all carpeting and spot clean soiled areas as needed
  • Clean glass on lobby doors and sweep and mop floors
  • Empty waste baskets and replace liners in lunchrooms, break areas, and restrooms
  • Refill restroom dispensers and clean and sanitize toilets, basins, and urinals
  • Spot clean walls, partitions, and doors as needed
  • Sweep and mop floors with disinfectant
  • Perform periodic tasks such as cleaning overhead vents, dusting blinds, and polishing wood furniture
  • May use ladders to dust and wash walls, clean ceilings, and dust and polish light fixtures
  • May remove stains from surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions
  • May perform incidental seasonal tasks such as sweeping walkways, raking leaves, cutting grass, and removing snow

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • 6 months of experience in commercial facilities and building janitorial work desired
  • Good listening and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of clients
  • Punctuality and ability to maintain a neat appearance

Work Environment:

Our facilities are fast-paced and dynamic, with a moderate noise level. You will be exposed to a combination of normal office-type environments and shop environments, with regular exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and noise. Safety glasses are required while performing certain tasks.
