Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Maintenance Attendant is tasked with executing daily cleaning operations across all Sierra Proto Express locations to ensure a hygienic and secure working atmosphere.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Conduct daily and weekly cleaning tasks as outlined in the Cleaning Operations Checklist.
  • Complete and submit the Cleaning Operations Checklist to the Facilities Manager on a daily basis.
  • Utilize cleaning machinery, such as floor scrubbers and vacuums.
  • Address cleaning requests as directed by the Facilities Manager in a timely manner.
  • Be available for urgent cleaning needs as they arise.
  • Occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds and remain active throughout the day.
  • Maintain punctuality and a strong attendance record.
  • Work schedule may include weekends and late hours.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS - SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

To succeed in this role, an individual must be capable of fulfilling each essential responsibility effectively. The qualifications listed below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • High school diploma is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a janitorial role, with relevant training.
  • Proficient in operating cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers and vacuums, and capable of driving a forklift.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and remain active throughout the day.
  • Capability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

SUPERVISION: None

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this position successfully. While executing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee must frequently stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The ability to lift 25 lbs., open filing cabinets, and bend, stand, or climb on step ladders as necessary is essential.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office and Manufacturing – Adhere to safety protocols and utilize protective equipment as required.

SALARY RANGE: $20 - $25 per hour, along with benefits and perks.
