Youth Ministry Leader

Purpose:

The aim is to passionately engage with the current generation of middle and high school students, guiding them to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Uphold spiritual priorities by placing Jesus Christ at the forefront, followed by family and ministry commitments.
• Contribute generously to the mission and vision of Crosspoint City Church.
• Demonstrate loyalty to the church's vision and staff, ensuring the unity of the congregation is safeguarded.
• Actively seek opportunities to connect the unchurched with Jesus and encourage them to participate in church activities.
• Maintain a covenant with the staff team.
• Embody the qualities and characteristics outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Core Duties:

• Lead the Student Ministry, ensuring consistency across all church locations.
• Develop a comprehensive curriculum for Student Ministry targeting grades 6 through 12.
• Create and implement a discipleship framework for middle and high school students.
• Collaborate with parents to support their children's spiritual growth.
• Inspire students to take their next steps in their faith journey.
• Recruit, train, and support leaders for Middle and High School Serve Teams.
• Oversee all aspects of Sunday and Wednesday student gatherings, including small group leadership, guest experience, security, and worship/production.
• Establish and lead a Student Leadership Team.
• Organize regular brainstorming sessions to plan sermon series and creative elements for student gatherings.
• Intentionally build relationships with students to foster their spiritual development.
• Connect the Student Ministry with local educational institutions.
• Ensure the achievement of ministry goals.
• Manage the budget and resources related to the ministry effectively.
• Oversee communication and social media efforts to support the team and parents.
• Strive for excellence in all facets of the Student Ministry.
• Perform additional tasks as required.
• Some local travel may be necessary.
• Attend staff and departmental meetings punctually.
• Participate in training sessions as directed.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A valid driver's license and successful completion of a background check are required.
• Doctrinal beliefs should align with those of Crosspoint City Church.
• Ability to inspire and communicate effectively in various settings.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Commitment to collaborative ministry efforts.
• Discretion in handling confidential information is essential.
• Ability to engage with colleagues and church members in person.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English is necessary.
• Maintaining confidentiality of personal and church information is critical.
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Work Environment:

This position involves both indoor and outdoor settings. It requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move flexibly for extended periods. Occasionally, lifting objects up to 10 pounds with assistance may be necessary. Proficiency in using a computer, phone system, and other office equipment is essential.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time role, with hours dedicated to Middle School and High School gatherings, as well as office hours from Monday to Thursday.
