Children's Ministry Leader

Purpose:
The Children's Ministry Leader is tasked with overseeing the Kids ministry at a designated location, focusing on empowering and nurturing a volunteer team to facilitate children's gatherings, while collaborating with parents to ensure they are the primary spiritual guides for their families.
Personal Duties:
- Prioritize your relationship with Jesus Christ, followed by your spouse, children, and ministry responsibilities.
- Contribute generously to the vision and mission of Crosspoint City Church.
- Demonstrate loyalty to the church's vision and staff, safeguarding the unity of the congregation.
- Engage with the community to introduce individuals to Jesus and invite them to Crosspoint City Church.
- Uphold the staff team covenant.
- Embody the qualities and characteristics outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the recruitment, training, and support of the volunteer team.
- Assist in the planning and execution of children's ministry events.
- Implement the curriculum for the Kids Ministry.
- Manage inventory and resources for the Kids ministry within the allocated budget.
- Work alongside parents to guide children in their journey of knowing and following Jesus.
- Oversee the onboarding, safety, and training processes for the volunteer team.
- Develop staff, apprentices, and interns at the campus as needed.
- Exemplify discipleship by being a disciple-making disciple.
- Communicate the vision, values, and culture to the volunteer and staff teams.
- Attend staff and departmental meetings punctually.
- Participate in training sessions as directed.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Local travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- A valid driver's license and successful completion of a background check are required.
- Experience in childcare is essential.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, particularly in professional interactions with parents and children; maintain collaborative relationships with administrative staff, church leadership, and congregation members.
- Hold doctrinal beliefs that align with Crosspoint City Church.
- Possess the ability to inspire and motivate through effective communication in various contexts.
- Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Maintain discretion when handling confidential matters and information.
- Ability to engage with colleagues, supervisors, and members in person.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.
- Ensure confidentiality of personal and church information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical and Working Conditions: This role involves both indoor and outdoor environments. It requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move flexibly for extended periods. Occasionally, lifting items weighing up to 70 pounds may be necessary, with or without assistance. Proficiency in using a computer, phone system, and other office equipment is required.
Work Schedule: This is a part-time position, with responsibilities including Sunday gatherings and office hours to be determined weekly (approximately 25 hours per week).
