Position: Aerospace Upholstery Specialist

Position Details:

  • Contract duration of 12 months with potential for extension.
  • Entry-level opportunity available.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Under moderate supervision, you will construct and install upholstery, cover panels, and develop basic patterns for aircraft interiors according to design and engineering specifications.
  • Execute upholstery tasks adhering to design, customer, FAA, and company standards.
  • Carry out installation and finishing tasks in accordance with work order specifications.
  • Fit panels, windows, headliners, sidewalls, and bulkheads; cut and surge carpets, fabricate components, and install panels.
  • Create carpet patterns and manage their installation.
  • Utilize the material tracking system to generate parts demand, monitor issues, and confirm task completion.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with commercial sewing machines, sergers, and hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades is preferred.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents.
  • Competence in using measuring instruments and performing basic arithmetic.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Capability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and adapt to various shifts.
