Position Overview:
The Ergonomics Specialist will play a crucial role in delivering technical support, conducting comparative analyses, and ensuring adherence to Human Factors certification standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comparative analyses on design concepts
- Develop part task simulation assessments utilizing software and physical prototypes
- Implement suitable data evaluation techniques
- Design and execute part task and/or simulator testing protocols
- Draft engineering documentation to validate compliance with industry standards
- Leverage industry design guidelines and regulations to enhance design elements
- Create standards and guidelines for ergonomics methodologies
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in fundamental research methodologies and engagement with human subjects
- Strong ability to articulate technical ideas effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the aviation/aerospace sector
- Familiarity with biomechanics and simulation tools
- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles
- Flight experience is advantageous
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field is required, with advanced degrees being advantageous.
