International Operations Coordinator - The Opportunity:

As a Global Logistics Operations Coordinator on our International Logistics Team, you play a vital role in our supply chain ecosystem, facilitating the movement of goods from various global sources to our U.S. locations.

In the fast-paced world of retail, no two days are alike. You will manage a blend of essential duties alongside special initiatives aimed at enhancing logistics efficiency, driving cost reductions, and developing the necessary tools and capabilities to support our ongoing expansion.

The Global Logistics Operations Coordinator supervises the import supply chain for TJX, overseeing shipments from origin countries to U.S. ports.

Evaluate processes, identify, and implement enhancements to the network based on the international supply chain and TJX's operational needs.

Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with both internal and external strategic partners. Oversee daily operations with freight forwarders and third-party logistics providers for TJX direct import shipments. Ensure that logistics service providers fulfill their contractual commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage direct import operations and oversee our third-party freight forwarders within a global region. Deliver results through 3PL partners on all international inbound logistics activities, including: Monitoring freight movement from origin to ensure timely arrival of products.

Scheduling and planning shipments Handling exceptions Daily interactions with vendors and inbound logistics providers Maintain operational procedures and manuals for overseas operations Collaborate with Global Buying Offices to address their logistics requirements Manage inbound operational performance to optimize capacity planning, container utilization, and 3PL efficiency Work with various divisions, freight forwarders, Global Buying Offices, agents, carriers, merchants, planning and allocation, and distribution services to streamline merchandise flow throughout the supply chain Manage relationships with supply chain partners, including TJX merchandise vendors and overseas forwarders, to meet TJX standards and enhance network efficiency Assess logistics provider performance and identify areas for improvement, presenting corrective action plans to address service shortcomings.

Who We Seek:
You.

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or Operations is required; an MBA is preferred. 1-3 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, particularly in international freight forwarding and/or 3PL operations. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel are essential.

Must be adept at utilizing complex pivot tables and vlookups. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; the capacity to quickly assess situations and provide alternative solutions is crucial in the dynamic off-price retail environment. Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced setting; products move swiftly through our supply chain, necessitating prompt responses to incoming requests. A self-starter who can manage timelines and prioritize effectively. Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority and a quick learner. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and sustain relationships; you represent TJX to many of our external strategic partners.
