Job Title: American Girl NYC Personal Shopping Assistant

About the Role:

The American Girl New York City retail store is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as a Seasonal Part-Time Personal Shopping Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service, support our Personal Shoppers, and contribute to creating a positive experience for our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide premium customer service by responding to customer inquiries, resolving concerns, and offering personalized suggestions.
  • Assist with the selling and booking of in-store special events and Bistro parties.
  • Check in guests for events and ensure gifts and goodie bags are ready.
  • Support Personal Shopping appointments, including preparation and sales floor assistance.
  • Initiate and respond to client communications, schedule appointments, and follow up as needed.
  • Utilize Microsoft applications for administrative duties.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and services.
  • Balance work tasks while supporting Personal Shoppers individually.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of retail sales and service experience preferred.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability working with diverse customers and teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with flexibility to meet changing business demands.
  • Availability to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

What We Offer:

A competitive hourly rate of $18.50, based on education, skills, and experience.
