Position Title:
Senior Property Accountant with Partnership Expertise

Company Overview:
Staff Financial Group is a premier real estate development and investment firm focused on industrial and logistics properties.

Job Overview:

The Senior Property Accountant will report directly to the Controller, ensuring the precision of financial documents, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. This role will also contribute to the generation of monthly financial reports for stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage monthly accounting tasks for investment segments within the company's financial reports, including journal entry processing and schedule creation.
2. Review and validate all investment-related sections of financial statements for accuracy.
3. Monitor all projects from initiation to capitalization, utilizing construction management software to reconcile pre-development costs.
4. Maintain a detailed record of earnest money deposits per project, ensuring accurate general ledger entries for deposits and reimbursements.
5. Participate in discussions and meetings concerning property transactions and capital funding with various departments.
6. Collaborate with the Controller to compile necessary information for monthly and quarterly distributions to investors.
7. Assist the Corporate Accountant with capital contributions, ensuring meticulous record-keeping.
8. Initiate capital call wire transfers and support the Corporate Accountant with tracking and journal entries.
9. Maintain and audit all Owner Ledgers in Yardi, reviewing them monthly for accuracy.
10. Work alongside the Controller to record all acquisitions and dispositions.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, coupled with a minimum of 3 years of experience in institutional-level real estate management and investment; or a combination of education, training, and experience that equips the candidate with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to fulfill the essential functions of the role.
2. Experience with joint venture partnership ownership structures, including waterfall investor returns.
3. A proactive, confident, and relationship-driven personality.
4. Outstanding written, verbal, interpersonal, networking, and presentation skills.
5. Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Yardi.


Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Yardi Voyager.
Understanding of basic commercial real estate principles, including those related to leasing.
Familiarity with joint venture partnership ownership structures and waterfall investor returns.
Knowledge of market statistics such as rents, vacancy rates, and absorption rates.
Excel modeling skills.
