SENIOR ELECTRICAL TEST ENGINEER

Our flagship product, a wearable patch defibrillator, is specifically developed to assist over 500,000 patients in the United States who face a temporary elevated risk of life-threatening heart rhythms.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Senior Electrical Test Engineer is responsible for spearheading the creation of testing solutions for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), subassemblies, and final products. This role also involves supporting the integration and upkeep of these testing solutions within production environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify user requirements and establish design specifications for testing solutions in collaboration with stakeholders from Manufacturing, R&D, and Quality Assurance.
  • Oversee the development of testing solutions, including the presentation of design concepts, prototyping, conducting design reviews, and verifying design specifications for cross-functional teams.
  • Manage external contractors and suppliers for testing solution services.
  • Create documentation for testing solutions in alignment with the quality management system.
  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of testing solutions in production settings.
  • Engage in design reviews to enhance the testability of PCBAs, subassemblies, and final products.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members across various functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electrical test engineering, with a proven history of leading the development of testing solutions from concept through to production deployment.
  • Expertise in defining user requirements and design specifications to drive project success, along with strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly.
  • Hands-on experience in analyzing hardware schematics and layouts from a system level down to individual components.
  • Proficient in managing contractors and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies such as Functional Testing, In-Circuit Testing (ICT), Flying Probe Testing, and Burn-In Testing.
  • Experience with automation software like Python, LabVIEW, or TestStand is a plus.
  • Knowledge of risk management tools, including Hazard Analysis, DFMEA, and PFMEA, is advantageous.
  • Soldering and assembly skills are beneficial.

The salary for this exempt-level position will be determined based on experience and qualifications within an established pay range.

  • Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 + Annual Bonus
