In the capacity of Senior Electrical Engineer within the Vehicle Integration Team, you will be instrumental in the development of Ample's next-generation Vehicle Integration System.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in defining new electrical hardware features and specifications.
  • Incorporate functional safety principles into hardware design.
  • Design electrical components, including selection, schematic creation, and PCB layout.
  • Collaborate with the functional safety team to create a DFMEA for the hardware design.
  • Work closely with PCBA fabrication partners to transition hardware to mass production.
  • Develop and implement testing plans and procedures for the Ample Vehicle Integration System.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and thermal engineers, to ensure testing aligns with all design and performance criteria.
Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering (preferably in the automotive sector).
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with standard communication protocols and their hardware applications (CAN / SPI / I2C / Serial / USB).
  • Basic understanding of microcontrollers, sensors, and common analog/digital electrical systems.
  • Experience in circuit analysis and fundamental circuit modeling.
  • Hands-on prototyping experience.
  • A passion for working in a practical environment focused on research and electrical systems.
  • Experience in developing a DFMEA.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in the automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 and functional safety standards.
  • Knowledge of Li-ion batteries and high-voltage battery systems.
  • Understanding of signal integrity and best practices for EMI/EMC.
