In the role of Senior Electrical Engineer within the Vehicle Integration Team, you will be instrumental in the development of Ample's next-generation Vehicle Integration System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement essential features throughout the complete design, verification, and validation cycle.
  • Establish critical hardware specifications to support various vehicle platforms.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to launch new products and swiftly update designs.
  • Engage with automotive manufacturer partners for system integration and compliance.
  • Be actively involved in hardware support for mass production and field deployment.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience or equivalent qualifications.
  • A minimum of a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
  • A collaborative spirit with outstanding communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in hardware development of embedded systems utilizing common communication protocols (e.g., CAN, SPI, I2C, Serial).
  • Solid understanding of the physics behind common analog and digital electrical systems, including sensors and motors.
  • Proficiency in rapid prototyping.
  • A strong desire to work in a hands-on environment building electrical systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC best practices.
  • Experience in scaling production.
  • Familiarity with functional safety (ISO26262) or general safety analysis.
  • Experience with high-voltage battery systems.
