Position Overview

UGE International is a leading firm in the development, ownership, and operation of solar and energy storage projects across the United States. With a commitment to fostering the transition to sustainable energy, we are expanding our team and looking for dedicated individuals to join our Origination Support division.

The Junior Energy Market Analyst plays a crucial role in assessing the commercial and community solar as well as energy storage landscapes. This position involves providing insights to the development team regarding project feasibility and engaging in pre-development tasks that encompass technical, commercial, marketing, and financial considerations.

Reporting Structure

This role will report directly to the Manager of Market Analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Assessment: Work closely with the origination team to evaluate project locations, conduct feasibility studies, and develop initial project designs utilizing tools such as Helioscope and Anderson.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform financial evaluations of potential opportunities across diverse markets.
  • Contract Management: Suggest, formulate, and present essential contracts to the origination team, including leases, letters of intent, and offtake agreements.
  • Data Management: Maintain and refresh project evaluation and sales platforms, ensuring alignment with critical project timelines and financial model outputs.
  • Policy and Market Analysis: Analyze and interpret state energy regulations, community and commercial solar initiatives, and local utility guidelines to identify opportunities in significant markets.
  • Documentation: Assist in organizing and documenting vital project information and details.
  • Opportunity Development: Collaborate with marketing and origination teams to devise and execute strategies aimed at acquiring new prospects in targeted markets.
