Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated analyst to join our Capital Markets team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing the company's long-term strategic financial models, facilitating project and corporate financing, and conducting ad-hoc analyses to support our rapid growth. This collaborative position offers exposure to both corporate finance and project finance strategies while working closely with various teams within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in securing debt for current assets and potential acquisitions, including model creation for lenders and coordination of due diligence.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure precise modeling assumptions and financial evaluations.
  • Prepare internal memoranda and presentations that focus on investment returns, valuation metrics, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Provide analytical and modeling support for company-wide initiatives, including asset sales, re-contracting, redevelopment, and other portfolio projects.
  • Establish quality control procedures to guarantee the accuracy of deliverables.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities through quantitative and qualitative analyses, including valuation modeling (DCF), financial statement assessments, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in finance, engineering, business, economics, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of experience in independent power production, investment banking, consulting, project finance, development, or asset management within the power and utilities sector, with a focus on financial modeling and valuation.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with financing or M&A transactions in the power and utilities sector and/or renewable energy.
  • Understanding of tax equity financing structures is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of U.S. power markets with a desire to expand expertise in this area.
