Position: Quality Control Analyst
Location: Buffalo, NY
Shift: 1st Shift 7 AM - 3:30 PM

Role Summary
The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for supporting quality assurance initiatives. This role encompasses the development and execution of quality assurance protocols, reviewing documentation for accuracy, conducting tests and inspections, identifying issues related to production or processes, and providing training and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing, updating, and implementing quality assurance protocols and procedures.
  • Creating training materials and operational manuals.
  • Assisting in training and cross-training within the department, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Conducting routine inspections and quality assessments in accordance with established standards.
  • Supporting the company’s complaint management program, including analyzing product returns and leading investigations.
  • Overseeing testing programs as necessary.
  • Acting as an Auditor or Lead Auditor for Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) audits.
  • Identifying and resolving quality, workflow, and production challenges.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Documenting quality assurance activities and generating reports.
  • Reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy, attaching necessary records for departmental correspondence.
  • Establishing conformity through document review and product testing, releasing products for use or shipment as required.
  • Maintaining records to track the status of documentation processes.
  • Compiling data to prepare periodic reports.
  • Investigating discrepancies in reports and collaborating with relevant departments to ensure compliance.
  • Making recommendations for process improvements.
  • Upholding the company’s core values of honesty, integrity, and respect.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

  • Recommending enhancements to quality assurance processes and documentation.
  • Communicating necessary changes to documentation and audit processes with supervisors and project management teams.

  • Reporting any safety hazards to supervisors.

  • Reporting any injuries or incidents immediately.
  • Encouraging a positive safety culture and suggesting safer operational procedures.

  • Interpreting technical instructions and managing various variables.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis.
  • Experience in auditing processes and documentation.
  • Conducting inspections and environmental monitoring tests.

Knowledge Requirements

  • Understanding of inspections, audits, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance tools and methodologies.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 35 pounds as needed.
  • Specific vision abilities required for the role.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in quality assurance are advantageous.
  • Three to five years of related experience or equivalent education and training.
