Key Objectives
Assist technical personnel by delivering accurate and timely testing outcomes and relevant information.
Main Responsibilities
- Familiarity with accessing the most recent updates of standards, protocols, and testing methodologies, under guidance.
- Assess products submitted for evaluation for quality and safety concerns, with oversight from senior personnel within a limited framework.
- Prepare various samples for examination using established testing procedures, adhering to testing standards and specifications, within a limited scope.
- Execute testing or analyze a range of consumer products for basic bench analysis and limited analytical instrumentation following prescribed testing methods and standards appropriate to the sample, within a limited scope.
- Utilize and verify (if applicable) testing equipment and instruments, maintaining a record-keeping system for calibration and quality system integrity under supervision.
- Ensure the upkeep of testing equipment, supplies, and laboratory cleanliness (including limited analytical instrumentation).
- Accurately document testing data in accordance with quality guidelines.
- Support departmental testing in various areas, as directed, when necessary.
- Organize and manage workload to meet or exceed laboratory turnaround times and client expectations.
- Assist in the technical and administrative facets of various departmental projects as instructed.
- Precisely compile data, prepare, and review written technical reports within a limited scope.
- Collaborate with senior personnel for guidance on compliance and standards interpretations.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical challenges within a limited scope with direction from senior staff.
- Comply with the Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services Quality System requirements.
- Provide insights to the department manager regarding departmental systems, processes, and suggestions for enhancements to meet departmental and quality objectives.
- Adhere to the guidelines established in the Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc Safety and Chemical Hygiene Plan.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager based on departmental needs and workload.
- Analyze test results data, under guidance.
- Interpret and apply industry standards within a limited scope and with direction.
- Provide problem resolution for any client inquiries identified, aiming to enhance client satisfaction and improve client relations.
- Engage in verbal and written communications with internal clients regarding administrative and technical matters, under supervision.
- Participate with senior staff in client meetings or visits when appropriate.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues within a limited scope.
- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field, along with relevant formal academic or vocational qualifications.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
