About the Role

CME Associates, a leading engineering technology corporation, is seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects in the Greater Buffalo Area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough inspections and testing of construction materials, including soils, concrete, masonry, and hot mix asphalt, to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to accurately assess project requirements.
  • Record and report inspection results in a clear and concise manner, providing detailed documentation for project stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to identify and address any quality issues or concerns.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Hold a valid ICC certification for one of the following Special Inspector categories: Reinforced Concrete, Soils, Masonry, Spray Applied Fireproofing, Steel & Bolt, or Steel & Weld.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients through clear communication and proactive progress reporting.
  • Valid driver's license required.
