The Doorway ProgramThe Doorway is a program operated by Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, providing assessments, referrals to treatment, and trauma-informed supportive services for individuals living with a substance use disorder. Our team includes administrative staff, case managers, and licensed clinical therapists.
The OpportunityWe are seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing calls, scheduling, and registration functions for patients. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, create new patient medical records, verify insurance eligibility, and collect demographic information.
Responsibilities- Manage in and outbound calls
- Schedule and register patients
- Provide cost transparency and improve financial success
- Hold in-depth financial conversations with patients
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience
- Empathy and compassion for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders
- Strong computer skills
