Our TeamOur Wentworth Health Partners Great Bay Mental Health team consists of a psychiatric nurse practitioner, licensed clinical social workers, mental health counselors, and marriage and family therapists. They provide treatment, counseling, and support for various patient concerns.
The OpportunityWe are seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative to join our team. This in-person position is located at 15 Old Rollinsford Rd, Dover, NH. The ideal schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30am-5pm and Tuesday, Thursday: 9:30am-6:00pm.
Responsibilities- Manage in and outbound calls and scheduling and registration functions for patients of Wentworth Douglass Health Systems (WDHS).
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Create new patient medical records, verify insurance eligibility, collect demographic information, and offer applicable documents.
- Hold in-depth financial conversations with patients to provide cost transparency and improve financial success.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience minimum of 1 year working in a customer service setting required.
- Minimum of 6 months experience working in a customer service setting, and/or clerical experience, or equivalent education required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and insurance authorization preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
- General understanding of the impact Patient Access has on Revenue Cycle.
