POSITION OVERVIEW

The Retail Operations Leader is accountable for overseeing the performance of sales personnel and operational activities within the store, either directly or through subordinate supervisors. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service and aims to maximize sales and profitability through effective merchandise management, inventory control, and expense oversight. The Retail Operations Leader will also implement local marketing strategies and ensure adherence to corporate sales protocols, representing the brand with the utmost integrity and accountability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Management

  • Lead and supervise team members engaged in sales and customer service, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Evaluate and enhance the sales performance of each team member, providing constructive feedback.
  • Delegate specific tasks to employees based on their strengths and store needs.
  • Conduct training for new hires to equip them with essential skills and knowledge.
  • Facilitate ongoing training and motivation for Retail Sales Associates to boost overall performance.
  • Implement and uphold policies, objectives, and procedures to achieve store goals.
  • Guide staff in handling challenging sales scenarios and customer service inquiries.
  • Participate in training sessions and manager calls to stay informed on best practices and policy updates.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all training and corporate branding standards.
  • Submit weekly performance reports and maintain store readiness.

Sales

  • Achieve revenue targets set for the store.
  • Analyze sales data to prepare reports for management review.
  • Meet personal sales objectives to contribute to overall store success.
  • Educate customers about products to facilitate sales.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
  • Focus on meeting company sales metrics, including average ticket size and close rates.
  • Ensure accuracy in sales order documentation.
  • Monitor key sales performance indicators for the store.

Store Operations

  • Ensure the store is adequately staffed during operating hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the store environment.
  • Oversee inventory management and maintain acceptable audit scores.
  • Collaborate with management to optimize staffing based on customer traffic.
  • Work with distribution management to resolve service and delivery issues.
  • Enforce safety and security protocols within the store.
  • Address customer complaints effectively at the store level.
  • Ensure merchandising strategies are executed correctly.

Marketing

  • Drive local marketing initiatives to enhance store visibility.
  • Engage in community outreach and networking to foster relationships.
  • Conduct business-to-business sales calls to expand customer base.
  • Coordinate promotional activities and ensure proper display of marketing materials.
  • Maintain customer prospect lists and gather contact information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant retail management experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with data management tools.
  • Excellent communication and modeling skills.
