Shift: Monday - Thursday, 2:30pm - 1:00am

Position Overview:

The Flexographic Press Operator is responsible for preparing, proofing, and printing files/images utilizing the Hybrid Flexo printing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare files according to The Imagine Group's standards and procedures to guarantee quality and efficient reproduction.
  • Adjust colors in images as necessary, following guidelines, substrate, and/or profile, in accordance with The Imagine Group's protocols.
  • Conduct press proofs of images based on The Imagine Group's standards and workflow.
  • Interpret and comprehend Job Tickets, Spec Sheets, and Work Instructions.
  • Operate equipment following manufacturer and The Imagine Group's standards across various substrates, ensuring quality and safety.
  • Track all labor and materials used on a job-by-job basis.
  • Perform routine tasks to maintain optimal printing conditions (e.g., change empty ink, conduct bi-hourly maintenance, and ensure print bed cleanliness).
  • Monitor output quality throughout the production run.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment.
  • Assist fellow print operators with material handling as needed.
  • Collaborate with sales, project managers, and clients to ensure color quality aligns with customer expectations.
  • Execute various tasks within the department as directed or deemed appropriate.
  • Conduct physical maintenance on printers as required, adhering to manufacturer warranty guidelines.
  • Establish, monitor, and adjust profiles for digital machines, ensuring customer-specific calibration and substrate compatibility.
  • Assist in the finishing of products as directed.
  • Propose plans for production enhancements.
  • Recommend equipment repairs, parts, and supplies to management.
  • Be available for overtime as necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience operating flexographic and/or digital presses (Indigo/Domino/Durst/MPS) is preferred.
  • Knowledge and proven skills in all production processes related to Flexo/Hybrid or digital web printing, including software, hardware, equipment, and materials, are preferred.
  • Ability to manage complex jobs in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to effectively produce jobs.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to visually inspect all work for defects.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive tasks.

The national pay range for this role is $ /hour. The pay range may vary slightly based on geographic location. Actual pay may differ based on factors such as education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include participation in a bonus, commission, or incentive program, depending on the role.
