TECHEAD is seeking an experienced, results-driven Account/Sales Manager to propel growth within our Federal team. This pivotal role demands a strategic leader adept at cultivating new business relationships and securing teaming agreements. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in federal contracting and business development to expand our presence and capitalize on emerging opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development and Partnering: Collaborate closely with potential clients to secure open requisitions and teaming agreements for upcoming federal contracts.
  • Client and Partner Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with federal clients and partners. Utilize a proactive approach to ensure client satisfaction and drive business growth. Regularly hold meetings with potential new accounts to understand their needs and propose solutions.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Strategize and execute business development efforts to meet revenue targets. Utilize tools such as GovWin, Bloomberg, and other business intelligence platforms to track and prioritize upcoming federal opportunities. Cold call prospective clients.
  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Partner effectively with internal and external teams to support business growth initiatives. Collaborate with leadership to align business development strategies with company goals and objectives.
  • Industry Engagement and Market Insights: Stay abreast of industry trends, market changes, and federal procurement policies. Regularly attend industry events in the Richmond, VA area. Subscribe to industry newsletters and participate in networking events to maintain a current understanding of the federal contracting landscape.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in federal business development, with a demonstrated track record of success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Proven experience in prospecting and cold calling potential clients.
  • Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, including security clearances, cage codes, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to effectively interact with senior executives and federal agency personnel.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., TrackerRMS) and other sales productivity tools.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable creating new target lists to support business growth initiatives and has the ability to build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
