Job Title: Director, Federal IT Program Management

KPMG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our Federal IT Program Management team. As a key member of our Advisory practice, you will be responsible for managing and delivering large, complex engagements that identify, design, and implement business and technology services for U.S. Federal government clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute methodologies (e.g. Agile) and solutions specific to the U.S. Federal government sector
  • Manage engagement risk, project economics, planning / budgeting, account receivables, and definition of deliverable content to ensure buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior management at U.S. Federal government agencies, and manage day-to-day interactions with client managers
  • Develop and maintain project management plans, including related artifacts, to efficiently perform duties and identify risks that could affect project timelines / financial reporting
  • Evaluate projects from a technical stance, ensuring that development methods are correct and practical, and evaluate risks related to requirements management, business process definition, testing processes, internal controls, project communications, training, and organizational change management
  • Lead business development efforts to grow / expand practice across federal sectors
Requirements:
  • A minimum of eight years of Federal IT Program Management and US Navy sector business development experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Master's degree from an accredited college/university preferred
  • PMP certification required
  • Demonstrated leadership, client management, and project management skills, along with a strong business development track record
  • Ability to evaluate, provide detailed findings, and establish requirements to support the transformation and effective design of governance / oversight of an ERP target environment
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and enhance IT processes within an organization, knowledge of challenges faced by implementation teams, and an understanding of IT operations, systems, architecture, technical controls, data-centric issues, and other related considerations
  • Primary physical presence is required in Norfolk, VA
  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
  • Applicant must possess a U.S. Government Secret clearance
