About the Role:

The County of Los Angeles is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Observe, evaluate, record, and report changes in client condition">
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, including personal hygiene assistance and vital sign measurements">
  • Prepare forms related to emergency calls, client evaluation, and record maintenance">
  • Implement de-escalation procedures and techniques to prevent injury">
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team conferences to share pertinent client information and collaborate on treatment plans">
  • Administer prescribed medications in acute psychiatric settings">
  • Contact ambulance companies for transport requests through the ACCESS Center or directly operated clinics">
  • Coordinate activities of Psychiatric Mobile Response Teams and Clinical Behavioral Management Response Teams">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Valid California State License to practice as a Psychiatric Technician">
  • One year of experience assisting mental health professionals in delivering preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative psychiatric services at the level of Psychiatric Technician I">
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills">
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) certification preferred">
