Position Overview


As the Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Design Miami, you will be instrumental in propelling the growth and outreach of this internationally recognized Miami-based organization.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid history of establishing global partnerships, showcasing exceptional leadership abilities, and demonstrating a profound understanding of brands within the luxury fashion, technology, automotive, and lifestyle industries.

We seek an individual who brings an existing network of industry contacts and has substantial experience in initiating discussions with potential partners, as well as securing new strategic business ventures.

The SVP of Strategic Partnerships will collaborate closely with the CEO and the VP of Marketing to define objectives, cultivate a pipeline of prospects, and secure international contracts across all of Design Miami's flagship events.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development: Formulate a partnership acquisition strategy that aligns with the company's goals and targets.
  • Partnership Growth: Build a robust pipeline of new business opportunities, secure international contracts with luxury brands, achieve and surpass revenue goals, and manage partner relationships effectively.
  • Service Enhancement: Identify new marketable opportunities at flagship fairs and collaborate with the VP of Marketing to create compelling pitches and develop impactful marketing materials.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Lead Pursuit: Work alongside the CEO to follow up on leads generated by the executive team; develop pitches, create proposals, manage communication efforts, draft contracts, and finalize agreements.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate agreements ensuring favorable and clear terms.
  • Market Insight: Identify emerging opportunities and remain informed about competitor activities and market trends.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor progress against revenue targets, provide regular updates on forecasts, plan payment schedules, and ensure timely partner payments.
  • Reporting: Consistently report on the status of partner prospecting and contracts to leadership, forecasting anticipated partner revenue.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • A proven track record of at least 10 years in partnerships, business development, and leadership roles.
  • Extensive industry knowledge and a well-established network of contacts in the luxury sector.
  • Exceptional negotiation and contract management capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A results-driven approach, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, and to travel as necessary.
