Senior Vice President of Asset Management

Rialto Capital is in search of a meticulous, results-oriented, and strategic asset management professional to oversee the Loan Workout division within the Asset Management sector.
This senior vice president position entails the daily oversight and resolution of a portfolio comprising primarily of specially serviced CMBS loans, along with other distressed financial assets.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in underwriting prospective new debt investments and will contribute to special initiatives as the Loan Workout framework adapts to evolving market dynamics.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a robust background in commercial real estate debt, coupled with outstanding communication and leadership capabilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Proactive management and prompt resolution of a portfolio of specially serviced CMBS loans and additional distressed debt assets.
• Expertise in negotiating and structuring intricate debt instruments, ensuring thorough oversight throughout the legal documentation process.
• In-depth analysis and comprehension of collateral and loan positioning, value assessment, and restructuring options.
• Engagement with and coordination of third-party consultants, including legal advisors, receivers, management/leasing firms, appraisers, and environmental specialists.
• Comprehensive understanding of and adherence to governing loan documents, servicing agreements, REMIC regulations, investor reporting obligations, and applicable state and federal laws concerning foreclosures, receivership actions, and bankruptcies.
• Presentation and endorsement of resolution strategies to company executives.
• Preparation and forecasting of quarterly business plans and cash flow projections.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Initiative to complete complex tasks independently and within established timelines.
SPECIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required, ideally in a relevant field such as Commercial Real Estate or Finance.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial real estate, fixed income, and general financial principles.
• Familiarity with bank, conventional, agency, and/or commercial mortgage-backed securities origination and servicing is preferred.
• Proficiency in underwriting commercial real estate and/or residential acquisition, development, and construction transactions, alongside exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with basic competency in Argus and CRE Market Data Providers.
• An adaptable and collaborative team player, capable of working with various internal and external teams while efficiently advancing projects.Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this role, the Associate may occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, and maintain balance.
