Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager will serve as a strategic business partner, providing expertise and guidance on HR-related matters to support the company's people and culture strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with all legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, supporting workforce planning, organizational design, change management, employee engagement, and talent development.
  • Coordinate HR processes, including reward planning, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Champion Ontellus Core Values and foster an inclusive work environment.
  • Escalate complex HR matters to Human Resources leadership as needed.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy.
  • Monitor employee engagement and work closely with management to improve work relationships and increase employee morale and retention.
  • Facilitate the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and conducting new hire onboarding.
  • Provide support and guidance to management and staff on complex HR issues.
  • Administer and maintain records of personnel transactions, including temporary staffing, new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
  • Provide reporting on HR metrics and analyze data to inform business decisions.
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives.
  • Partner with the Payroll function to ensure timely and accurate bi-weekly reporting, time and attendance, and other payroll-related functions.
Requirements
  • BA/BS in Human Resources or Business-related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • California Employee Law knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems, Paycom preferred.
  • SHRM CP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication/presentation skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with peers, management, and other business partners.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to travel to other business units occasionally.
