Director of Human Resources

The Director of Human Resources will lead the development and implementation of Human Resource policies and programs, as well as manage all aspects of employee relations and development. This role is responsible for piloting the employment process, organizational development, performance management, training, compensation and benefits administration, and providing employee counseling services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective leadership that includes supporting core values, addressing zero tolerance behaviors, and maintaining active communication with all employees.
- Development, implementation, and evaluation of Human Resource policies, programs, and procedures.
- Administration, maintenance, and oversight of Payroll, Time & Attendance, Recruiting, and Onboarding systems.
- Development, implementation, upkeep, and evaluation of employee benefit programs.
- Accurate maintenance and development of organizational job descriptions.
- Creation of organizational development and employee training programs.
- Act as a compliance resource to all supervisory personnel during all phases of the employment process.
- Develop, maintain, and evaluate an organization-wide communication system.
- Coach and counsel employees on all matters, with special oversight of problem resolution, employee safety, and organizational culture integration.
- Maintain employment records for current and former staff as applicable by federal and state law and company policy.
- Complete employee information requests and forms for internal affairs and outside organizations.
- Review and complete 401k compliance items.
- Track and manage FMLA.
- Track, manage, and oversee OSHA log compliance.
Requirements:
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources Department.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a concentration or specialization in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Employment Law; or three to five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a health-related field, health administration, business, or public policy.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in email communication, spreadsheet, and word processing software to create reports, correspondence, and presentations.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: PHR, SPHR (Preferred).
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and regulations from accreditation organizations, various West Virginia license boards, the EEOC, the Department of Labor, the Wage and Hour Division, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
