Treasury Director

Job Summary

The Director, Global Treasury is a key member of the Treasury team, responsible for managing key operational and intercompany processes, leading projects to improve department capabilities, and providing Treasury support for new deal activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic direction for Treasury's Funding Desk, working with Treasury leadership, Treasury Operations, and other key constituents to identify, develop, and source funding solutions.
• Manage and lead Treasury's derivative cash collateral pool, FXAll online FX trading platform, and oversee the operation of RGA's multi-lateral netting center, including central bank compliance.
• Lead and participate in Treasury projects to develop departmental capabilities, build infrastructure, improve efficiency, and expand capabilities to support department and company strategic initiatives and objectives.
• Provide Treasury support for new reinsurance transactions and acquisitions in international and domestic markets, working under the guidance of the Executive Director, Global Treasury.
• Support Assistant Treasurer and department's legal entity risk management and governance responsibilities through quantitative analysis, reporting, and presentations to legal entity Boards, Officers, and risk committees.
• Provide subject matter expertise and back-up for Treasury Operations team for day-to-day operational activities, F/X spot trading, borrowing & investing, and metrics development, tracking, and reporting.
• Impact the results of the Treasury organization through value-creation, helping to develop department goals, training plans, job descriptions, and supporting the annual planning process.

Requirements

Education and Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline.
• 8+ years' experience within treasury or cash management, with a minimum 3-years' experience in risk management activities, ideally with experience in F/X and interest rate derivatives.

Skills and Abilities

Required:

• Experienced in risk management principles and tools, including intermediate knowledge of derivatives, derivatives valuation, and accounting principles related to derivatives.
• Intermediate understanding of global capital markets, including forms of debt issuance, lending arrangements, derivatives, and other capital markets products and structures.
• Highly capable of managing multiple tasks and projects and/or teams simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organization skills.
• Strong ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of treasury operations, liquidity management, and cash forecasting techniques.
• Skilled at identifying, analyzing, and improving complex business processes by applying treasury expertise and business acumen.
• Takes initiative and is accountable.
• Ability to work well with all levels of management and to work independently.
• Ability to work well within a team and participate in department projects and balance detail with departmental objectives.
• Must be flexible and adaptive to change.
• Advanced Excel and Intermediate Word skills.
