As our HR Generalist, you will take care of what matters most: our people. We are looking for someone to help us innovate and scale our programs, policies and practices in an efficient way and drive operational initiatives that will improve the effectiveness of the People team and our employees' experience. Overall, the role of people operations is to empower employees and facilitate the day-to-day work life. This role reports to the Director of HR and is part of a team with a heart for people, providing concierge service and enhancing the employee experience.
You will be responsible for playing a key role in developing, implementing, and coordinating human resource policies and procedures relative to employment, engagement, training, performance, and associated legal compliance. You'll also help provide services that enhance all employees' quality, productivity, and morale. Key areas of focus and responsibility:
- Collaborate with the Director of HR on the strategy and execution for People Operations.
- Understand labor law, multi-state payroll and people management, and deal with complex issues.
- Manage employee data and the Paycom system in an efficient way, applying automation when possible.
- Operationalize people and culture initiatives, including Performance Management Initiatives and company-wide engagement surveys.
- Assist in managing our onboarding and new hire training programs.
- Track HR metrics, identify areas of improvement in hiring and management.
- Serves as the primary administrator of all benefit programs and a liaison for all benefit carriers to ensure timely processing of enrollments, claims, terminations, and payouts, as well as accurate billing and employee deductions for health, dental, life, accidental death, and dismemberment, short- and long-term disability and other supplemental insurance.
- Administers Pivotal' s 401(K) plan, including completion questionnaires. Also directs the processing of enrollments, loans, and hardship withdrawals.
- Maintains Paycom employee self-service portal and provides assistance to employees through "Ask Here."
- Process employment-related inquiries from employees, and terminated employees, including outside verifications of employment.
- Maintains a consistent brand voice in all communications and postings.
- Audits and updates policies and procedures to protect the interests of employees and the Company while ensuring governmental laws and regulations are followed.
- Participates as a member of the employee culture & engagement team.
- Ensures Company compliance with all labor-related agency and policy requirements, including the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), thereby mitigating risk.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate policy, practice, and resources changes to upper management.
- Respond to and complete employment unemployment & workers compensation claims.
- Collaborates with the Director of HR to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- At least 5 years of experience in HR or People Operations
- Proficiency use of Paycom or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work with remote teams
- Strong operational thinker, with a knack for solving problems and building solutions
- A team player with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
- The ability to drive projects from inception to implementation, including developing project plans and timelines, and coordinating internal and external resources to meet project requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
