As a **Cyber Security Analyst**, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a comprehensive Critical Infrastructure Security (CIS) program. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of analytical tasks, leveraging your understanding of multidisciplinary security concepts, principles, and practices relevant to security administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain preventive and detective security controls.
  • Continuously monitor computing resources for signs of compromise and report security incidents.
  • Analyze compromised systems of routine to moderate complexity to enhance security design and policy compliance.
  • Develop and execute mitigation strategies for threat reduction based on IT system monitoring.
  • Research, analyze, design, test, and implement new or vendor-supplied security software solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and procedures for security software administration.
  • Assist in formulating technical security standards to support policies, including the creation and monitoring of standards and incident investigation procedures.
  • Collaborate as a member of the Incident Response Team to analyze security breaches.
  • Stay informed about current security issues and trends.
  • Support the development, documentation, deployment, review, and maintenance of information security policies.
  • Communicate security requirements and principles effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with security-related regulatory and corporate standards.
  • Design and implement a cyber security monitoring program, including relevant technologies and processes.
  • Investigate and analyze computing resources for evidence of compromise and report findings.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures by managing security profiles and reviewing security violation reports.
  • Analyze complex security incidents to improve security design and anticipate new threat profiles.
  • Conduct periodic and complex security assessments to evaluate vulnerabilities and prepare resolutions.
  • Produce and deliver engaging security awareness training content.
  • Mentor junior security team members.
Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience beyond degree requirements.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
  • Alternatively, a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge is acceptable.

Certifications:

  • CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional (preferred).
  • Other preferred certifications include Security+, GSEC, GCIH, GCIA, and/or GREM.
