Position Summary: The Senior Manager, Social Media Strategy serves as a pivotal contributor and authority in the social media domain, supporting all Publicis Media agencies. This position demands a proven track record in strategic implementation and the development of tactical best practices. A comprehensive understanding of major social media platforms is essential, along with the ability to convey intricate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. We seek an individual who thrives on problem-solving, enjoys collaboration across agency teams, and possesses a strong point of view to proactively identify needs and create solutions.

This role is distinctive as it promotes best practices, thought leadership, and innovation across all agencies. The Senior Manager will help shape our strategic direction, prioritize team initiatives, and produce content that directly influences all clients within the organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the creation of paid social activation materials, including perspectives, playbooks, training modules, and educational content.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the paid social landscape to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop innovative solutions, including activation support, collateral creation, and testing frameworks.
  • Identify and document frequently asked questions, automating responses to common inquiries from agency teams.
  • Assist in the development of tailored content based on specific requests from agency teams or in response to market changes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Publicis Media agency counterparts and social channel leaders.
  • Oversee daily priorities for a team of high-performing social media activation specialists.
  • Implement strategic roadmaps and create thought leadership materials for social media strategy and activation.
  • Foster cross-functional relationships to collaborate on solution priorities.
  • Participate in account planning and coordinate with key subject matter experts across agencies to enhance client service.
  • Identify clients who are suitable candidates for priority solutions and assist in guiding them towards best-in-class practices.
  • Contribute to evaluations and provide guidance to agency teams on recommendations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advise on the adoption of emerging platforms and technologies based on agency, industry, and client priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in paid social media, particularly in activation.
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in paid social media strategy and activation.
  • Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills.
  • Confidence and poise, with polished presentation abilities for effective meeting leadership.
  • Passionate about thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of major social platform algorithms, advertising products, optimization strategies, and broader industry developments.
  • Significant experience in campaign management and optimization across platforms such as Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, and Reddit.
  • Advanced knowledge of third-party measurement capabilities and limitations in the social media space.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects across multiple teams and functions.
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts.
  • Advanced content development skills, particularly in PowerPoint.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high-quality work on all projects.
  • Team-oriented, approachable, and recognized as a coach and mentor to others.
  • Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, charts, vlookups, and basic formulas; knowledge of macros and Visual Basic is a plus. Comfortable working with large datasets, analyzing reports, and identifying trends.
