Qualifications:

To thrive in this role, you should possess a positive mindset, a strong desire to learn, and the ability to excel in a dynamic environment. Here are the essential qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language.
  • A solid understanding of mechatronics and physical systems, particularly in relation to embedded software.
  • Experience with data analysis tools or environments (such as MATLAB) to derive insights and clarity.
  • Comfortable engaging hands-on with the custom platforms utilized in production, including creating, maintaining, or even disassembling prototype and production hardware.
  • A dual capability as both a problem-solver and an innovator, able to navigate ambiguous requirements and develop comprehensive solutions, robust tools, and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with MATLAB and/or Simulink.
  • Experience with CAN network protocols.
  • Knowledge of production documentation systems like NetSuite.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C# (.NET), C, and C++, with the ability to apply them for complex data analysis and Core Windows application development.

Additional Information:

  • This position requires onsite presence at our facility for a portion of the month, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to third-party logistics contractor facilities.
  • You will report directly to the Director of Embedded and Software Engineering.

Your Team:

The Embedded Software Testing Engineer role is situated within our Embedded and Software Engineering department. This compact yet impactful team is responsible for sourcing high-quality components from reputable suppliers, which are then assembled into Seakeeper units. Through collaboration across departments and engagement with external partners, you will gain insights across various facets of the Embedded and Software Engineering department, empowering you to take ownership of your role and contribute innovative ideas to enhance processes and outcomes.
