Position: Junior Accounting Specialist

We are currently seeking a motivated entry-level accounting professional to collaborate with our Accounting Manager and contribute to the future success of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of accounting practices and hold a bachelor's degree in accounting. We are looking for someone ready to engage in various tasks, from journal entries to financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the month-end closing process and prepare financial statements for executive review.
  • Manage bank and balance sheet reconciliations, including prepaids and accrued payroll.
  • Aid in the creation of a comprehensive month and quarter-end reporting package.
  • Process accounts payable transactions.
  • Generate invoices for accounts receivable.
  • Record daily banking activities and other journal entries.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and post monthly depreciation entries.
  • Support the year-end audit process.
  • Participate in accounting-related special projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with US GAAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with a willingness to enhance Excel skills.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to research and resolve issues.
  • Commitment to producing high-quality work consistently.
  • Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.

Education/Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or an associate degree with two years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience with accounting software is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in using MS Windows-based systems is essential.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US.
  • 0-2 years of experience in accounting is acceptable.
