We are in search of an entry-level financial accountant to collaborate with the Accounting Manager and help steer the future of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of basic accounting concepts and hold a four-year degree in accounting. We seek an individual who is eager to engage in various tasks, from journal entries to month-end financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the month-end closing process and prepare financial statements for review by the CFO.
  • Maintain reconciliations for bank accounts and balance sheets (including prepaids, other receivables, and accrued payroll).
  • Contribute to the creation of a comprehensive month and quarter-end reporting package.
  • Process accounts payable transactions.
  • Generate invoices for accounts receivable.
  • Record daily banking activities and other journal entries.
  • Manage fixed asset schedules and post monthly depreciation entries.
  • Support the year-end audit process.
  • Participate in accounting-related special projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with US GAAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with a willingness to enhance Excel skills continuously.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and the capability to research and resolve issues.
  • Consistently produce high-quality work.
  • Ability to establish trust and maintain confidentiality.

Education/Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or an associate degree with two years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience with accounting software systems is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows-based systems is required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US.
  • 0-2 years of experience in accounting is preferred.
