Position Summary:
We are currently looking for a reliable full-time Patient Registration Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a friendly demeanor, excellent communication abilities, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. The role requires working full-time hours, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients warmly and assist them with their registration process.
  • Collect and verify demographic and insurance details from patients.
  • Facilitate financial transactions, including copayments and other charges.
  • Utilize our computer systems to generate and review fee slips for accuracy.
  • Ensure all registration information is accurately documented and scanned into patient records.
  • Maintain open communication with patients regarding their account status.
  • Coordinate patient care and manage records across multiple clinic locations as needed.
  • Handle incoming calls, take messages, and relay information to appropriate staff.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and faxing patient information.
  • Keep an organized workspace and ensure the waiting area is prepared for patients.
  • Monitor office supplies and maintain necessary forms for efficient operations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or retail setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with medical software systems is a plus.

Work Environment:
This position is based in a medical office, where exposure to various health-related conditions may occur.

Physical Requirements:
The role involves extensive computer use and may require prolonged periods of sitting. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment with potential stress due to patient interactions.
