Position Overview

As a vital part of Skyworks' worldwide operations, the Yield team plays a crucial role in the high-volume production of our wafers to satisfy the increasing demand for our innovative solutions. This team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, cost-efficient, and unique products by utilizing GaAs HBT and pHEMT technologies, while also supporting other rapidly emerging processes. Team members collaborate closely with various departments within Skyworks to ensure exceptional performance in a dynamic environment. By becoming a member of our wafer manufacturing team, you will have the chance to significantly influence the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze and troubleshoot the root causes of issues and implement corrective measures promptly.
- Disposition lots efficiently.
- Conduct experiments and analyze data to identify root causes or drive continuous process enhancements.
- Review incoming epi data, assess PCM, probe, and assembly data, perform electrical to epi correlation, and optimize epi for maximum yields.
- Engage in activities from pilot plant stages to full-scale manufacturing.
- Conceive and plan projects that involve defining and selecting new concepts, equipment automation technologies, and innovative approaches in processing or developing new or improved processes.
- Extract data from various databases and perform data analysis using tools such as JMP, Exensio, Galaxy, or Excel.
- Coordinate activities for containment and disposition of lots during yield events.
- Generate yield reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

Qualifications:

- A BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in data analysis using Excel, JMP, Galaxy, or other relevant software.
- Familiarity with semiconductor devices and circuits.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment within established procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions for resolving lot issues.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing or engineering.
- Knowledge of failure analysis techniques (SEM, FIB, thermal imaging, etc.) is desirable.
- Programming skills in C++, C, Python, Machine Learning, etc., are a plus.
