Key Responsibilities:
This engineering role is integral to supporting manufacturing processes and equipment reliability at our facility. The engineer collaborates with maintenance teams, project management, and manufacturing to enhance equipment operation and reliability.

The responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and leading engineering improvements or upgrades to manufacturing equipment.
  • Developing rationale for enhancements and translating requirements into equipment/system design specifications.
  • Ensuring accountability for verification deliverables.
  • Assisting in identifying critical quality parameters for new equipment.
  • Coordinating maintenance to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
  • Overseeing verification deliverables from outsourced verification staff.
  • Contributing to the development and review of User Requirements Specifications (URS).
  • Proposing design modifications to mitigate risks and enhance quality and safety.
  • Developing commissioning and function test plans for equipment modifications.
  • Acting as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing during project phases.
  • Monitoring systems for performance risks and implementing risk reduction strategies.
  • Providing problem-solving support to minimize production downtime.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety regulations.
  • Offering timely technical support for troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Supporting manufacturing and quality assurance with Performance Qualification (PQ) activities.
  • Identifying reliability improvements to enhance equipment uptime.
  • Leading process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Flexibility in work schedule is required to support continuous operations, including occasional after-hours coverage.


Required Skills:
Candidates should possess strong technical report writing and presentation skills, effective verbal communication, and personal organization abilities. Experience in managing change, analytical problem-solving, and computer literacy in relevant software is essential. Familiarity with specialized equipment and project management principles is also necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field is preferred, along with 5+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in a manufacturing environment. Experience in regulated settings and knowledge of cGMP procedures is advantageous.
