Senior Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Perianesthesia Care team at Parkland Health and Hospital System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients through the healthcare encounter.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to adult and pediatric patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and pre-operative holding area.
- Assess patients' conditions, identify nursing diagnoses, and develop individualized plans of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and provide education to patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in perianesthesia nursing practice.
- Current RN license or valid temporary permit with the Texas Board of Nursing or valid Compact RN license.
- Minimum two (2) years of Phase I PACU, ICU, or ED experience.
- Current healthcare provider CPR course completion card from one of the following: American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification on hire or placement in the role.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification on hire or placement in the role.
