About the Emergency Department

The ED operates as a Level 1 trauma center catering to both adults and children, managing approximately 105,000 patient visits annually. This dynamic environment offers a stimulating and fast-paced workplace.

Role Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant in the ED, you will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team, providing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic care across various patient demographics and clinical scenarios. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Coordinating urgent and emergent care with consulting services.
2. Recommending follow-up care and facilitating referrals to appropriate facilities.
3. Engaging in multidisciplinary quality improvement and research initiatives.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

- A minimum of one year of experience as a PA in a high-volume emergency department.
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- A current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the relevant state, along with necessary certifications.

- At least two years of experience in an emergency setting.
- A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring flexibility, including availability for weekends and holidays.
