Cardiology Physician Assistant

Trinity Health Michigan Heart and Trinity Health IHA Medical Group are in search of a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to enhance our esteemed Cardiology practice. This position focuses on Electrophysiology and plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding care to individuals with cardiac rhythm disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Perform thorough assessments of both new and returning patients experiencing arrhythmias in various settings.
- Collaborate with Electrophysiologists to formulate and execute treatment strategies, which include medication management, cardiac ablation, and oversight of cardiac implanted electronic devices (CIEDs) such as pacemakers and defibrillators.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing electrophysiology interventions.
- Monitor patient conditions and responses to therapies.
- Educate patients regarding their health conditions, available treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Procedural Involvement:
- Engage in electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures in accordance with state regulations and institutional guidelines.
- Assist in the implantation and evaluation of medical devices.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work cohesively with Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- Documentation:
- Maintain precise and comprehensive medical records.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
- National certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Valid State of Michigan License.
- Experience in Cardiology is required; Electrophysiology experience is highly preferred.
- Strong clinical understanding of cardiac arrhythmias.
- Exceptional assessment, diagnostic, and treatment capabilities.
